Mughal Silk Shibori Dress by JODI
Our first shibori silk dress, (Shibori is a handcrafted Japanese resist dyeing technique) crafted in jewel tones of purple, features a v-neck with a flattering empire waist that opens into a center pleat. The most stunning feature is the intricate hand embroidered shoulder patches, that are inspired by the Kutch tribe of Gujarat, India. The dress is finished with trimmings of gold gota patti lace.
We believe customers have a right to know how their product was made.
5.5 meters of muga silk sourced from Assam has been used for this piece. Shibori work hand done by our artisans in Mumbai. Hand embroidered and manufactured in our workshop, Pune India.
This product is crafted in Mumbai, India using the traditional artisanal technique of Shibori dyeing and hand embroidery by our skilled artisans in Pune.
